Yankees to break ground on new stadium
The New York Yankees baseball team will break ground on its new US$800m stadium on 16 August.
The team is planning to move to the new 53,000-seat stadium for the 2009 season after playing at Yankee Stadium since 1923.
The club’s new home will be built adjacent to Yankee Stadium in Macomb Dams Park in the Bronx, New York City. Details: yankees.mlb.com
