The YAP Academy will set the benchmark in quality further training courses for teachers and practitioners

International yoga organisation, Yoga Alliance Professionals (YAP), has launched an online Training Academy designed for yoga practitioners and teachers.

From mastering backbends to the art of adjusting, each course on the platform is designed to further the student’s knowledge in specialist areas of yoga, and take their practice to the next level.

Courses cater to all abilities, offering options both for first-time yoga practitioners and experienced teacher trainers to learn new material.

Many of the lessons offered on the platform are free, giving the public the opportunity to study under eminent yoga trainers such as Brian Cooper and award-winning teacher, Tara Lee.

Cooper, who is also the co-founder of YAP, promises "the Academy will set the benchmark in quality further training courses for teachers and practitioners”.

With millions of existing virtual yoga offerings, the ability to choose a quality course is increasingly difficult.

So to ensure high-standards, each featured session on the Academy has undergone a reviewal process and is led by fully qualified, insured yoga instructors.

YAP was inspired to launch the offering in light of the heavy toll the pandemic is taking on mental health.

It believes that having a training goal is invaluable to maintaining a sense of purpose and says the online resources will help support yoga teachers’ and practitioners’ wellbeing.

The Training Academy is available to everyone, and can be found by visiting the YAP website.

YAP is predominately a support organisation for yoga teachers worldwide, providing insurance, marketing and business support.
