Yorkshire hotel and golf club sold
Hunley Hall Hotel and Golf Club near Saltburn-by-Sea, in North Yorkshire, has been sold after it went into administration earlier this year.
The deal includes a 28-bedroom hotel and a 29-hole golf course, designed by John Morgan in 1993. The hotel, which opened in 2006, features two bars, lounges and a 120-seat restaurant.
The club features a two-hole practice area, 6,300 sq ft and 1,800sq ft putting green and a pitching green with two bunkers, as well as a 12-bay floodlit driving range.
The complex was marketed at £2.25m by Savills, on the instruction of joint administrators GrantThornton.
Alistair Greenhalgh of Savills Manchester office, says: "Hunley is in a stunning position and, with an annual projected turnover of £1.1m, is potentially a very good business proposition. We understand the new owner is planning to develop the complex further."
