Zoo chimp dies from yew tree clippings
A 31-year-old chimpanzee has been found dead in her cage in the Parc Zoologique de la Pépiniere at Nancy in France.
An autopsy revealed that she had eaten clippings from a yew tree.
Zoo staff are concerned that an increasing number of visitors are feeding the animals despite requests not to do so. The gendarmerie is conducting an investigation.
