Aromatherapy Associates' Luke Taylor unveils first new blend in seven years
Aromatherapy Associates has launched Desert Therapy, its first new blend in seven years. Bringing together more than 50 essential oils and anchored by frankincense, oud and sandalwood, it took six months to create and will no doubt appeal to operators in the fast-growing Middle East and Africa regions.
It debuts with a body oil, pure essential oil and bath and shower oil, along with three immersive treatments and a complementary tea.
“Desert Therapy offered a different kind of inspiration,” says master blender Luke Taylor, who's been at Aromatherapy Associates for 20 years. “I drew on the vastness and tranquillity of desert landscapes to establish a sense of reflection and restoration.”
Trained by founders Sue Beechey and Geraldine Howard, Taylor says the blend was carefully developed to complement existing ranges with ingredients from sustainable, traceable sources.
