Low-cost airline easyJet will launch three flights to non-EU countries this summer – London Gatwick to Marrakech in Morocco and London Luton to both Istanbul in Turkey and Rijeka in Croatia.

Seats will go on sale in March.

Andrew Harrison, chief executive, said: “This is probably our most significant expansion since the start of our new routes to central and eastern Europe in 2004.”

Elsewhere in the group, online check-in for easyJet passengers with hand baggage only is currently available from London Stansted, London Gatwick and Edinburgh airports and will be extended to most European routes by April.

In the current financial year, easyJet expects to deliver a capacity growth of 15 per cent. Details: www.easyjet.com
