fitness fx launches teaching competition
Group fitness programming company fitness fx has launched a national instructor competition, So You Think You Can Teach, in a bid to find the UK’s best undiscovered group fitness talent.
Open to all REPs Level 2 instructors and equivalent (both Gym and Exercise to Music), the competition is run over seven regions in the UK, starting with heats in November and climaxing with the Grand Final at the International Fitness Showcase, Blackpool in March 2008.
Would-be entrants will download a piece of music from the fitness fx website (www.fitness-fx.com), then choreograph and present their own material at the heats.
Club members and colleagues are encouraged to attend the heat to support their favourite instructor.
Heat winners will advance to a regional final, voted for online, with the seven winners advancing to the Grand Final next year.
The competition first prize includes a return trip to Australia, a year’s supply of music from MOVE YA!, the chance to be a featured presenter on the 2008 Jumpy Bumpy tour and the opportunity to teach their winning track on the relevant fitness fx release.
