£11m leisure centre proposed for Solihull
A planning application has been made to Solihull Metropolitan Borough Council for an £11m public-private partnership-funded leisure centre to be operated by Parkwood Leisure.
Located at Tudor Grange Park in Solihull, the centre will replace the Tudor Grange and Norman Green Leisure Centres. The project also includes the refurbishment of the neighbouring North Solihull Sports Centre.
The centre has been designed by sports and leisure architects Burke Rickhards and is to be constructed between the existing leisure buildings, enabling continued operation of the facilities until the replacement centre has been completed.
The proposed centre will include a 140-station Expressions fitness suite, an exercise studio and a health suite comprising a steamroom, spa bath, treatment rooms and a relaxation area.
There will be three swimming pools including an eight-lane competition pool as well as a multi-purpose sports hall, a three-court indoor tennis centre, an athletics track, crèche and café/bar area.
