£1m shop opens at Scottish attraction
Edinburgh's Scotch Whisky Experience is forecast to increase retail revenue by 15 per cent this year, following the unveiling of a new £1m shop as part of a wider revamp of the attraction
The whisky-themed centre has already seen retail revenues grow 55 per cent in the last three years and is expecting the latest stage of its transformation to continue that trend.
Scotch Whisky Experience director and general manager Susan Morrison said investment in the shop was a result of "recognising the important of retail to the business".
"We have aligned the shop with our tour, which already introduces people to whisky using flavours and scents, while simplifying and explaining the drink," said Morrison.
