£225,000 grant for DISC pitch upgrade work
At least two pitches at Dundee International Sports Centre (DISC) are to be upgraded after Scottish sport minister Shona Robison awarded a £225,000 grant towards the scheme.
The investment through sportscotland will fund improvements to the sand-dressed pitch in order to extend its use to include football and touch-rugby. Meanwhile, an existing water-based hockey pitch will be replaced due to wear and tear and is a "strategic priority" for Dundee City Council and Scottish Hockey.
Robison said: "These new pitches at the DISC will enhance the sporting infrastructure within Dundee and benefit individuals and sports clubs across the city."
