£300,000 revamp for Bournemouth gym
The fitness suite at Stokewood Leisure Centre in Bournemouth has reopened following a £300,000 refurbishment.
Work started in July 2008, which involved doubling the size of the gym. A new fitness studio will be opening on 26 January in order to provide spinning classes.
New yoga, Pilates and BTS BodyPump classes have been launched since the expansion.
Beverly Dunlop of Bournemouth Council, which runs the centre, said: “Our recent investment at Stokewood Leisure Centre has totally transformed the gym. Combine this with the opening of the new fitness studio later in the month, the new class timetable and the recent swimming pool improvements, the centre has never looked better.”
