£4.75m community sports centre opens in Gloucestershire
A new £4.75m dual-use community sports facility has opened at Sir Bernard Lovell School in Oldland Common, South Gloucestershire.
South Gloucestershire Council invested £2.5m in the centre, with further funding coming from the Football Foundation (£735,000) and Lawn Tennis Association (£150,000).
Facilities include a health and fitness club with exercise and dance studios, a large multi-purpose sports hall which is also used for Futsal and conferencing facilities.
Outdoor facilities include grass football and cricket pitches and six tennis courts as well as an all weather, floodlit, third generation artificial grass pitch for football and hockey.
