£4.7m revamp for Seedy Mill Golf Club
The Club Company is investing £4.7m in its Seedy Mill Golf Club in Lichfield, Staffordshire, to add a health and fitness offer to the site.
The club will be rebranded as Lichfield Golf & Country Club in a move to attract new members to the club, including those not normally associated with golf.
Facilities will include a 370sq m (4,000sq ft) gym with Technogym equipment, as well as three fitness studios, an eight-lane swimming pool, a steamroom, a sauna and a spa pool. The club will also include a crèche and a bar.
The site already has an 18-hole and a nine-hole golf course, and members of the health club will be able to use the nine-hole course. All golf members will be allowed to use the health facilities.
The Club Company manages 11 clubs in England, 10 of which have already been developed into Country Clubs.
The Lichfield Country Club is expected to open in December.
