£50,000 council grant for Farnborough FC
Farnborough Football Club (FFC) has been awarded £50,000 by Rushmoor Borough Council (RBC) towards the cost of upgrading its Cherrywood Road stadium.
The council's cabinet approved the funding, which will help pay for electrical work and other health and safety improvements, while the club is bidding for an additional £250,000 towards its South Stand development. RBC cabinet member for leisure and youth Diane Bedford said: "Rushmoor's football clubs are an important part of life in both Aldershot and Farnborough and we are lucky to have two successful teams.
"Supporting a local team brings people together and encourages pride in the community and as a Council we are keen to offer appropriate support where we can."
