£500,000 boost for Inspired Facilities fund
Sport England has announced that Thomas Cook Children's Charity is to provide a further £500,000 towards its Inspired Facilities fund to help benefit disadvantaged young people.
The £50m funding programme forms part of the Places People Play legacy strategy and is to distribute National Lottery funding through five funding rounds. Local clubs and facilities applying to the Inspired Facilities fund will also be able to bid for additional support from Thomas Cook Children's Charity if benefiting young people.
Sport England chair Richard Lewis said: "Building partnerships, like this, are essential if we are to create a world-leading community sport system and deliver a lasting grassroots legacy from London 2012."
