£65,000 sports facility to open in Naseby
Work has been completed on a new £65,000 outdoor multi-sports facility at Naseby Village Hall, Northamptonshire, ahead of its scheduled opening on 5 September.
Naseby Parish Council and the Village Hall Management Committee are behind the project, which was handed £50,000 of funding by Biffaward, the environment fund managed by the Royal Society of Wildlife Trusts. The new facility is designed to provide local people with an opportunity to take part in a number of sports, while inter-village competitions are also being planned for the coming months.
LP> Biffaward assistant programme manager Cath Hare said: "Recreational facilities are incredibly important; the improved area will provide high quality facilities that all age groups will be able to benefit from."Leicester-based Fosse Contracts built the new facility, while GSS Architecture was also involved with the scheme.
