£75m funding boost for University of Birmingham campus scheme
New leisure facilities are to be provided as part of the University of Birmingham's campus development, which has received £75m of funding from the European Investment Bank.
The European Union's lending institution has formally agreed support for the university's vision, which will lead to the overhaul of its teaching, research and campus facilities.
University of Birmingham vice-chancellor Professor David Eastwood said: "We want to undertake significant and exciting projects to develop our estate that will benefit students, staff and the local area."
