£7m Belfast leisure centre to open in January

The £7m Falls Leisure Centre in Belfast is due to open in late January 2005.

Covering a quarter of an acre, the Falls Leisure Centre was designed by architects Kennedy Fitzgerald to replace a swimming centre which was demolished earlier this year.

Featuring a sports hall, fitness suite, meeting rooms and swimming pool, the centre will operate a council-run membership scheme while the contract for equipping the new centre will soon be put out to competitive tender. Details: www.belfast.gov.uk
