£850k revamp for Kidderminster leisure centre
Wyre Forest Glades Leisure Centre in Kidderminster is undergoing a £850,000 revamp.
The 20-year-old facility – managed by DC Leisure – will have several improvements made, including a full refurbishment of the changing rooms; the addition of a sauna and steamroom; an upgrade of the flume rides in the swimming pool and the installation of new lighting, flooring and ceilings throughout the entire centre.
The project is being funded by Wyre Forest District Council and DC Leisure.
Work began on 30 October and should be completed by next January. The health fitness suite, sports arena, squash courts and other facilities will remain open during the works. Details: www.wyreforestdc.gov.uk
