£9m leisure development for Glasgow Fort Shopping Park
Work will start this month (August) on the construction of a £9m leisure development at the Glasgow Fort Shopping Park on the eastern outskirts of Glasgow, Scotland.
The scheme will deliver a 45,000sq ft (4,181sq m) extension housing a Vue-branded cinema and five restaurants. Millar Construction UK has been appointed lead contractor.
British Land owns the shopping park and advised Hercules Unit Trust - the retail warehouse fund managed by Schroders - to secure lettings for the development.
Glasgow Fort Shopping Park manager Phil Goodman said: "We can look forward to an important and major extension to the park's offering by next summer."
