Énergie appoints Irish MD
The énergie group has appointed a regional managing director to head up the rebranding and integration of the recently acquired Jackie Skelly fitness clubs in Ireland.
Jim Durie, also chief executive of énergieScotland, will start his role with immediate effect and will be responsible for the overall successful transformation and commercial management of the 10 clubs.
Durie has worked in the Leisure, Health and Fitness Industry, nationally and internationally for 35 years.
A post-graduate of Kingston University Business School, he has highly developed business skills in the formation, communication and implementation of business strategy and is experienced in developing tactics as tools to deliver all-inclusive approaches to customer service.
Durie became attracted to the energie brand in 2005, becoming a franchisee in 2006 and an investor in the Master Franchise for Scotland in 2007 with his co-directors David Weir, Matt Roberts and Jan Jones.
