Spelthorne Borough Council is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and motivated individual to develop and deliver the Sport and Active Lifestyle development programme within the Borough. The main duties of the post include:

Increasing the number of residents of all ages participating in sport and physical activity and to implement and oversee sport, physical activity and health initiatives within the Borough.

Organising the boroughs entry into the annual Surrey Youth Games.

To increase the number of residents of all ages participating in sport and physical activity, specifically focussing on the less active groups and communities.

Support a variety of projects such as Xplorer, Spelthorne Sports Week, walking for health and cycling for health programmes and other activities to increase participation in sport and physical activity.

You will need to have excellent verbal and written communication skills and experience of working with young people. A leisure (or related) degree or equivalent qualification/experience is essential. The post involves a significant amount of work during evenings and weekends. The successful applicant must have a full driving licence and access to a car for work.

The post will be subject to an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check.
