General Manager
This role requires an extraordinary manager with proven entrepreneurial flair and commercial ability, as well as the skill, energy and determination to drive and grow the business. We're looking for a manager who enjoys having the freedom to take charge of all aspects of an operation. Instead of having a huge central operation, we prefer to empower our managers to manage the business.

The role
- To oversee the launch of a brand new facility
- To drive and deliver the commercial performance of the business.
- To drive and deliver the operational excellence of the gym
- To drive and deliver the marketing activity for the club with a significant annual marketing budget
- To recruit, train and develop their own team and for managing them to success
- Opportunity to Personal Train for up to 10 hours per week

The candidate
- Must have a proven and successful track record of management experience within a leisure related industry, preferably within the health and fitness sector
- Must be passionate about customer service and be entrepreneurial in the way they manage
- Must have a proven track record in driving sales and coordinating local marketing activity as well as of recruiting and managing a successful team
- Ideally will have experience as a General Manager overseeing all business areas within a leisure facility or have substantial experience as a Fitness Manager or other similar operational function
- Ideally will be REPS level 2 or higher qualified or be prepared to qualify

Gymstar are seeking a vibrant, highly organised Regional Sales Manager to lead sales across our gym portfolio. Primarily you will be responsible for delivering fantastic business sales results across Gymstar's portfolio of Energie Fitness Clubs. However, as the newly created boutique brand comes online, you will also be involved in the creation of the sales process for this start-up fitness boutique. You will work alongside a Regional Operations Manager in being responsible for the Club Managers and their staff in driving the Clubs towards targets set by the Company Directors who you will directly report to. You will also be responsible for the recruitment and management of a London based outreach team.

Key Responsibilities
• Efficiently manage all aspects of the company's day to day sales operation to achieve sales targets in line with the business plan
• Working alongside the Gymstar team and Club managers, develop an ambitious sales plan each month and take accountability for ensuring the plan delivery
• Develop, coach and mentor club managers and their staff, to enable them to reach their full sales potential through clear direction, support and communications
• Manage the club managers on sales activity within their club, and ensure club teams know their targets and are delegated responsibility
• Recruit and manage a London based outreach team who will be used to drive leads to clubs
• Engage with club's local communities, organisations and health and fitness events striving to increase health and fitness awareness and drive prospects to clubs
• Involved in the design of all marketing materials and the decision making of where to spend the marketing budget
• Regularly review sales performance - take action to keep the business on track and provide full accountability of the groups daily sales performance to Directors
• Upon launch of the new boutique brand there will be involvement in the design and management of the sales process
Requirements
• Experience within the fitness industry alongside management experience in a sales environment

Remuneration

Reporting to the Assistant Regional Director, the successful candidate will be required to take full responsibility for the effective management of this challenging contract ensuring the highest service standards possible. The post holder will ensure that the service provided meets the requirements of the client as defined within the service specification as well as consistently driving the commercial performance for the centre.

The successful candidate is expected to have a recognised management qualification (Preferably at Degree level) as well as having a track record of managing both wet and dry leisure facilities. Experience or awareness of Local Authority contract management is essential. Experience of Multi Site Management is also desirable.

Marketing Executive (Customer Acquisition)

A key member of the Marketing department, and accountable to the Marketing Manager (Customer Acquisition), you will support the team which has responbility for the effectiveness of new customer acquisition.

Supporting on some initiatives whilst leading on others, you will be interfacing with multiple supporting outsourced agencies as well as our network of Regional Managers within our Operations Team.

As Marketing Executive you are primarily accountable for daily marketing portal requests for new marketing material that come in from across our network of over 100 gyms and ensuring all gym launch campaigns (15-20 a year) are delivered through project management, inter-personal skills, communication skills, administration, problem solving and process management.

The role

= Support the execution of the acquisition strategy including ATL and BTL campaigns and offers to deliver membership targets, improving lifetime value of members over time
= To manage the Marketing Portal and the relationship with our printing and creative agencies and ensure accurate delivery of all required materials for our Gyms
= To support the Marketing Manager and manage the day to day delivery and activity involved with all Gym Launches including bespoke leaflets and other media including local radio, newspapers, outdoor where appropriate
= To manage the refit/refurb programme for Gyms including communications and media
= Manage and report performance for the channel(s) you are responsible for both in terms of year on year performance and vs budgets and re-forecasts – providing insight, commentary and action plans to address and performance variances.
= To continually benchmark our activity vs. our competitive set (and the wider market) and feedback to the business (including gym visits)
= Work with our agencies to deliver best in class creative, ensuring consistency, continuous improvement and uphold and grow our brand values
= Build and develop relationships with key stakeholders across the group, particularly Operational staff with day-to-day P&L accountability (Regional and General Managers)
= Collaborate with Analytics Team and Media Agency to analyse success of our campaigns and recommended adaptation to the campaign calendar accordingly.
= Work closely with colleagues in other teams to align plans, messaging and ensure we provide a consistent customer experience
= Providing admin support for members of the acquisition marketing department

The candidate
This position requires an independent individual who is able to prioritise tasks and use their own initiative along with demonstrating excellent communication skills and the ability to interact with all levels of authority.

= Experience of working in a similar role
= Solid grounding in marketing with the ability to work unsupervised when needed, with a high level of self-motivation
