British Tourist Authority needs tweaking
A government review has recommended some 'fine-tuning' improvements to the British Tourist Authority (BTA).
The report, published by Tourism Minister, Dr Kim Howells, is stage two of a five year review of the BTA and its recommendations refer to BTA's return on investment, business planning, organisation and structure, marketing and communications and relationships with other bodies.
The review acknowledged the success of the BTA's website www.visitbritain.com, but identified other areas needing improvement.
The BTA is generally regarded as an efficient and effective organisation by government, the travel and other stakeholders, said Kim Howells. The recommendations aim to make fine-tuning improvements that will result in even better service delivery.
