The Fitness Industry Association will kick-start its Commit To Get Fit 2002 publicity programme with an email based viral marketing campaign.
It will allow participating sites to email members, potential customers and corporate clients with a personalised message urging them to take part.
'Emails spread like wildfire, and this will provide us with a nationwide communications network,' said campaign manager Caroline Richings.
Last year, 538 clubs participated, some substantially increasing revenue by generating more than 10,000 new members.
