Fitness Industry Education launches £1.2m London training academy
Online training provider Fitness Industry Education (FIE) has launched a new £1.2m fitness instructor training academy in central London, following £350,000 worth of investment from asset finance specialist Academy Leasing.
The site will be used for the training and continued development of personal trainers and fitness industry professionals.
The funds were used to implement an entire fit-out of the premises, including the installation of gym equipment, furniture, an AV system, Rubbertech flooring and turnstiles.
"The establishment of a purpose-built training facility represents the next step in our expansion strategy and we expect it to accelerate the company's already strong growth," says Michael Betts, managing director of the FIE.
"We had previously been renting facilities around the country to conduct the practical elements of our courses, but this move will allow us to improve the customer's experience of studying with us. As such, we believe this outlay will deliver a strong return on investment."
Working as a funder and broker, Academy Leasing facilitated the full turnkey operation, using its own funds and funding lines in accordance with a panel of banks and finance houses.
The qualifications delivered by FIE are recognised by the Register of Exercise Professionals (REPs), Central YMCA Qualifications (CYQ), Active IQ and the National Register of Personal Trainers (NRPT).
