New 'lifestyle centre' for London
A new health concept has been launched which hopes not to target just one specific niche but an entire cross-section of markets. Naked Health launches in Earl's Court in April hoping to be a 'lifestyle centre' rather than a gym as its founder, Tabitha Ritchie, combines the concepts of a health club, spa and juice bar. Treatments on offer include osteopathy, reflexology, sports theraphy and aromatherapy, as well as two large studios, one for aerobic activity and the other for yoga and pilates. The centre will also administer beauty treatments such as manicures, pedicures, waxing and facials. All classes and treatments can be indulged on a pay-as-you-go basis with no membership fee. Ritchie told Health Club Management magazine that the lack of fee combined with the west-London location should entice a broad market to Naked Health: We're targeting everybody - all ages, all cross-sections of groups. We're in the middle of Earl's Court - oldies, youngies, kids - there's kids stuff, older people stuff and all the people in the middle stuff! While Ritchie's ambition is that Naked Health is not another celebrity health and fitness club, she does hope that new sister-in-law Madonna will pop along for the opening. The full interview will Tabitha Ritchie will appear in the April edition of Health Club Management.
