This is an outstanding career opportunity with a not for profit charitable organisation committed to providing a diverse and meaningful range of leisure and culture related activities for the local communities in which we serve.

Working as part of a Duty Management Team, this role will support the Centre Manager in the delivery of Legacy Leisure’s objectives at Barry Leisure Centre. The facility boasts two fitness gyms, two pools, three fitness studios, a sports hall, squash courts and a café. Responsibilities may include Health and Safety, Human Resources, Utility Management, in addition to overseeing other key operational priorities

The Opportunity
This is an ideal opportunity for an experienced junior manager or supervisor with ambitions to progress to a more senior role.
The post holder will take a lead role in developing and promoting an exciting and innovative leisure programme to increase the usage and profitability of the centre.
We will need you to demonstrate flexibility as well as taking a proactive approach to increasing the centre performance.
This is a full-time role on a shift pattern of early mornings, late evenings and weekend shifts.

The Person
A driven and enthusiastic individual looking to pursue a career in Leisure Management.
Minimum of 2 years experience in people management required.
Leisure & tourism experience desirable.
All positions are subject to a DBS Disclosure.
A National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ), First Aid at Work (FAW) and Pool Plant Operators Certificate (PPO) training will be provided on induction if required.
A recognised Management qualification would also be advantageous.
