ACL secures funding for new activities
Anglia Community Leisure (ACL) has taken advantage of new government funding to provide extra activities for the people of Forest Heath, including free classes in squash and badminton.
The new leisure development programme will be offered at the leisure centres in Newmarket, Brandon and Mildenhall and includes a course in Tai Chi for those over 45 years old and coaching for adults in squash, tennis, netball and badminton.
Tony Bass, chief executive of Anglia Community Leisure, said: "We share the government's aim to get more people back into sport and are keen to keep prices as low as possible so that everyone can afford to get fit.
"By tapping into various funding schemes we have been able to introduce fun and friendly new courses to lure adults back into leisure and improve their general health."
