AFC Bournemouth training facility approved
Bournemouth Borough Council has approved plans put forward by AFC Bournemouth for a new training facility in Kings Park, which could be in place ahead of the 2012-13 season.
Proposals drawn up by the npower League One club comprise two training pitches and two 3G pitches, as well as a skills training area. Work is to begin in the "next few weeks".
Club chair Eddie Mitchell said: "The pitches are derelict at the moment and there's a lot of work to do, but when it's finished it will be a fantastic facility."
