Active-net 2021 to celebrate the unsung heroes of the fitness industry

Fitness, sport and leisure sector professionals who have continued to deliver services to their communities throughout the pandemic are to be celebrated at industry networking and educational event, active-net 2021.

Delegates will hear from those working at the front end of service delivery in a keynote panel session called 'unsung heroes', while active-net’s CPD element will also feature speakers from CIMSPA, ukactive and Sport England, who will share their thoughts on the future of the sector, based around the 2021 theme, ‘A post-pandemic sector’.

Leisure-net has partnered with virtual conference specialist, First Event, to deliver active-net online this year. Taking place on 24 and 25 March 2021, the virtual event will mirror the face-to-face experience, allowing buyers and suppliers to request up to 16 meetings with the most appropriate delegates.

Suppliers will demonstrate their products and services in their own online rooms and all delegates will receive a treat box with food and drink, an evening meal with wine or beer and the opportunity to join a hosted dinner table for evening networking, as well as other sponsored gifts, which will arrive at delegates’ front doors before the event.

Dave Monkhouse, director at customer insight provider, Leisure-net, which organises the two-day event says: “We'll be using our tried and tested principles, which include an education stream, networking opportunities, targeted business meetings and even online exercise classes. An added bonus to going virtual is that the event will result in a massive reduction in our CO2 emissions!”

Leisure-net has also announced that active-net Scotland will take place as a face-to-face event on 8 and 9 September 2021. Find out more here
