Ann Street Group aims to create Guernsey Resort
The Financial Times has reported that Jersey-based pub, hotel and restaurant operator, Ann Street Group is to apply for the casino licence at the St Pierre Park Hotel in Guernsey.
If successful, the group plans to create a premier five star resort.
The company has announced that since a review of its 86 pubs and three hotels in the Channel Islands a year ago, trading has improved. Pre-tax profits have risen from £7.8m to £9.4m. It also reported an increase in profits in its UK chains.
