AtmosFEAR completes Greece project
Lancaster, UK-based AtmosFEAR Entertainment Group has completed its first continental Europe project with the installation of a permanent scare attraction at a Greece theme park.
The company worked on the new House of Fear at Allou! Fun Park in Athens, which is the 47th scare attraction project involving AtmosFEAR and its first outside the UK and Ireland.
Designed with a variable throughput for high and low season operation, the new House of Fear includes a 2,300sq ft (214sq m) set with 13 individual horror-themed environments.
AtmosFEAR creative director Jason Karl said: "With no obvious cultural benchmark or point of reference, we had to develop a theme which the Greek audience could relate to, but without creating an actual storyline.
"After exploring several ideas, we finally decided that The House of Fear would challenge guests to endure a series of disconnected 'nightmares' featuring instinctive and common fears."
