Attractions Management will launch a news and jobs magazine called AM2 on 1 June

Liz Terry, CEO of Leisure Media – publisher of Attractions Management magazine – has announced the company is to launch a new magazine for the global attractions industry on 1 June.

The magazine will be a new addition to the company's stable of 12 existing publications and will be designed to complement Attractions Management.

Called AM2, the new title will be published 26 times a year, with Leisure Media's head of news Jak Phillips serving as launch editor. Julie Badrick, publisher of Attractions Management, will act in that role for the new title and Ricky Popat has been named associate publisher.

Terry said: "We believe there's a gap in the market for a regular news and jobs magazine for the global attractions market. We've had incredible support from the industry since we launched Attractions Management nearly 20 years ago and our readers are telling us they want more."

The new magazine will follow the format of Leisure Media's two existing news and recruitment magazines and will be available in print, digital and online.

"Attractions Management already has a hefty portfolio of services built around it, with a daily website serving up live news round the clock, a weekly ezine, social media and RSS feeds, two product search engines and an annual handbook," said Terry.

"However, although our digital services are hugely popular, our research shows that a vast number of people still enjoy consuming their content magazine-style and we intend to provide that for them. AM2 will be a great addition to the Attractions Management family.

"The industry's growing fast," she continued, "and decision-makers across the sector need a powerful flow of accurate information to inform decision-making. Leisure Media has always been committed to running a full news desk of trained journalists to ensure all news is fact checked, researched and written afresh. Our readers appreciate the quality of our content and analysis and our aim is to make that even more accessible for them."

Badrick said: "This is a major development – both for Leisure Media and for the global attractions industry. AM2 will be a great resource for the sector, because for the first time ever, decision-makers around the world in every sector of the industry will be linked by their own dedicated news magazine."
