Australia gets a SHOKK
SHOKK has opened a new facility in Melbourne, Australia.
The £100,000 SHOKK youth gym is a tag-on to an existing successful adult facility, Sunshine Studios, which is operated by the Australian firm Workout Workshop.
SHOKK has signed a partnership agreement with Workout Workshop to roll out the SHOKK concept throughout Australia.
Membership of the 100sq m (1,076sq ft) Melbourne site will cost around AU$50 (£24) a month and will give members access to SHOKK’s full range of resistance and cardiovascular equipment, including the SHOKK X-Bike and SHOKK Fluid Rower, plus several products from SHOKK’s Xertain range including dance mats, Vew Do boards and the SHOKK Target Wall.
The centre also offers a café and chill-out facilities.
The new site is the latest in a long line of international developments for SHOKK and takes its tally of territories to 15: UK, Republic of Ireland, Netherlands, Belgium, Portugal, Germany, Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Israel, Saudi Arabia, US, Spain, Iceland and now Australia.
This global expansion will continue later this year with the offi cial launch of SHOKK’s Guangzhou site in China, which it says will be the world’s largest standalone youth fi tness centre.
