Bath & North East Somerset Council has awarded Reliance Security a contract to protect the Roman Baths and Pump Room in Bath.

One of the UK’s oldest heritage attractions, the complex – famous for its flow of hot mineral water, first bathed in nearly two millennia ago – includes the 2,000 year old Roman Baths and Temple of Aquae Sulis, the medieval King’s Bath and the Grand Pump Room.

The site is also the home of numerous priceless Roman artefacts, which include the famous Gorgon’s Head.

Reliance is providing a security team consisting of one supervisor and four officers to secure the Roman Baths. Apart from general security duties, the officers will also perform a front-of-house role, providing customer care services.
