Brecon Beacons consultation underway
Members of the public have been given an chance to have their say on a plan for the future development of the Brecon Beacons National Park.
An eight-week consultation has been launched by the Brecon Beacons National Park Authority (BBNPA) to gather views on its Deposit Local Development Plan. The document aims to outline the authority's strategy, land allocations and planning policies, which is set to be used to determine the fate of planning applications in future.
BBNPA's vision also includes issues such as the provision of affordable housing and the pace of growth, while helping to ensure the "special qualities" of the park. Tracy Nettleton, head of strategy, policy and heritage at the park authority, said: "This is one of the most important documents we've ever produced for the national park.
"We are inviting everyone to make their final comments to the proposed plan because we want this document to be a fair representation of all our communities." The consultation closes on 29 December.
