Bromley South Central proposals submitted
London-based developer, The Cathedral Group, has submitted proposals for a multi-million pound mixed-use regeneration scheme, which will transform part of Bromley town centre.
The £80m Bromley South Central project will act as a catalyst for further regeneration at the southern end of the town's High Street and establish a new residential and leisure quarter.
A nine-screen multiplex cinema and 25,000sq ft (2,323sq m) of cafés and restaurants feature among the proposals, along with a 130-bedroom business hotel and 200 apartments.
The scheme will lead to the demolition of the 600-space Westmoreland Road car park and is expected to add around £300m of Gross Value Added to the local economy over 10 years.
Landscaped public spaces will complement the residential and leisure elements of the project and The Cathedral Group is hoping the development will be completed in 2014.
