UK Fairtrade hot drinks company, Cafédirect, has reached the £5m target of its public share issue.

Shares in the new company will now be listed by Triodos Bank on its own Triodos Ethex market, a matched bargain dealing arrangement which trades in ethical stocks and shares.

The money raised by the issue will partly be used to support the development of Cafédirect brands and also to open up new distribution channels for the company.

Cafédirect's ownership structure is now made up of 55 per cent new investors, 40 per cent founders and 5 per cent producer partners.
