Cedar Fair in Charlotte land acquisition
US-based theme park operator Cedar Fair Entertainment Company has bought 61 acres (25 hectares) of land surrounding its Carowinds park in Charlotte, North Carolina, US.
The acquisition is designed to help the company with proposals for the future development and expansion of the amusement park, which currently boasts more than 50 rides, shows and attractions. Cedar Fair president Matt Ouimet said: "This land acquisition will allow us to continue to develop this facility to its full potential."
