Corby’s mixed-use scheme to open next year
Rockingham Park Leisure, a mixed-use development in Corby, Northamptonshire, will open to the public in January 2008.
The 75,000sq ft (7,000sq m) scheme is being funded by Birmingham-based Dunbar Bank and will be operated by OFF Developments.
OFF has signed a 86-room Hampton Inn hotel, operated by Hilton, to anchor the £10m site, which will also include a 12,000sq ft health and fitness club, a 7,000sq ft children’s activity centre.
Mike Foster, founder of OFF Developments, said: “Hilton has decided to open the UK’s first Hampton Inn at Rockingham, but it is not the only first we have secured.”
“Wetherspoon will launch a new family pub and restaurant format, which will trade as The Samuel Lloyd, and Dominos Pizza will also premier its new European format at the scheme.”
The 4.5 acre scheme aims to benefit from the close proximity of the Rockingham speedway circuit.
