Creek Surfing and Polin in waterparks alliance
Creek Surfing of Hungary has teamed up with Turkish company Polin Waterparks and Pool Systems to market and distribute the former's new water activity concept, called Creek-Surfing.
Suitable for integration into both water and amusement parks, or used as a standalone attraction, it's seen as a solution to the drawbacks arising from the seasonal nature of two popular winter sports - skiing and snowboarding. The concept is based on a system of water-filled micro-terraces fitted to a baseplate, the shallow water enabling people to brake and change direction in the same fashion as with downhill snow courses.
