DIR invests in IT systems
Spanish health and fitness club operator, DiR has been investing in IT to improve its product and deliver a better service.
The Barcelona-based company has 12 sites – with one more due to open this year – and has developed an inhouse membership database system to which all its clubs are connected.
Members can now use any of the clubs with one membership card and the staff will be able to access the profile for that member.
The company is also developing its access control system.
Currently members use a photocard to gain access to the clubs, but in future access will be controlled by fingerprint recognition.
A new booking system also means that members can reserve bikes for group cycling classes and access rotas online to check when instructors are working. A new website has also been launched.
