De Vere Dunston Hall refurbishes gym

The health club at the De Vere hotel, Dunston Hall, Norwich, is undergoing a £250,000 refurbishment.

The facility, which has donated its old equipment to the Norwich Fire Brigade, will receive new cv and resistance kit for the gym as well as a steamroom and spa bath.

The refurbishment will also see the introduction of a legs, bums and tums area to replace the freeweights section.

“Some members found the freeweights room intimidating and it was under utilised,” says lesiure manager, Clive Edwards. “So we’ve added equipment such as abductors and steppers to the room, which we think will be more appealing to members.”

A qualified pilates instructor will also be on hand to offer exercise advice.
