Digby Trout completes hat-trick of heritage venues
Digby Trout Restaurants, catering operator at heritage and leisure attractions, has secured a catering contract covering three royal venues which jointly attract around three million visitors a year.
For the next five years, digby trout will run the catering at the Tower of London, Kensington Palace and Hampton Court Palace, increasing the company’s heritage attractions portfolio to 30 venues.
At Hampton Court, the company will operate the 100-cover café, a 180-cover restaurant and two kiosks.
Operations at the The Tower of London will include a self-service, 220-cover restaurant within the tower as well as the venue’s conferencing facilities and café, while the 150-cover Orangery in Kensington Gardens has been managed by digby trout for the past 12 years.
All three venues are owned by Historic Royal Palaces (HRP).
Digby Trout, chair, said: “In appointing us, HRP had the confidence of knowing that we will meet visitor expectations by providing the highest levels of freshly prepared food and service whilst working within the constraints presented by historic buildings which were designed centuries ago.”
