Elemis launches new Resurfacing Programme

A presentation at London's prestigious Brown's Hotel recently saw the launch by skincare company Elemis of its new Tri-Enzyme Resurfacing Programme.

Described by managing director, Sean Harrington as "the best that Elemis has created and the most important launch that this brand will ever do", the programme consists of two facial treatments - the Professional Spa/Salon and the Retail/SpaPod - and three retail products.

Available from 1 September, it has been designed to target fine lines and wrinkles resulting from ageing, lifestyle factors - such as stress, nutrition, alcohol and smoking - and exposure to the sun; acne and superficial facial scarring which has resulted in an uneven skin texture; and uneven pigmentation such as blotchiness or brown spots which can occur with age, the result of pregnancy or genetic factors.

The 60 minute Professional Spa/Salon Tri-Enzyme Resurfacing Facial treatment will cost from £70 RRP, with a recommended frequency of one every three weeks for a course of six. Independent clinical trials have revealed that, following one treatment, up to 75 per cent of resurfacing was apparent, plus up to a 32 per cent increase in skin smoothness.

The Tri-Enzyme Resurfacing Power Booster Facial is for Retail/SpaPod use and takes 30 minutes. The RRP is £45 and the recommended frequency one every three weeks for a course of three.

Making up a 3-step daily maintenance homecare regime are the Tri-Enzyme Resurfacing Facial Wash 200ml, RRP £25; the Tri-Enzyme Resurfacing Serum 30ml, RRP £95 and clinically proven to show up to a 91 per cent increase in skin smoothness after 28 days; and the Tri-Enzyme Resurfacing Night Cream 50ml, RRP £80.

Explaining the rationale behind the creation of the new programme, Elemis' director of treatment development, Noella Gabriel, said: “We have arrived in an era where we no longer classify skin by age; we are now truly a product of our lifestyles.

“With the increase in premature ageing and mature acne we now have a greater need to introduce a resurfacing system into our daily skincare routine.”

The Micro-Encapsulated Tri-Enzyme Technology driving the new programme sees a trio of enzymes - subtilisine, protease and papain - together with white truffle and other specific actives, work to provide safe and effective resurfacing, stimulating cell renewal and - says the company - delivering a smoother, clearer, more even, younger looking skin.

The Tri-Enzyme Resurfacing Programme is suitable for all skin types.
