Entrepreneur award announced

A former overweight fruit and veg stall worker has been recognized as Fitness Wales Entrepreneur Fitness Instructor of the Year.

After leaving school at 15 with no qualifications, Rachel Knight worked in the local market, and joined an exercise class to lose weight. Within two years she was teaching classes herself.

Knight then launched two children’s exercise schemes with her partner in 2005. Kick-Fit is a successful kickboxing class, while Skip-Fit sets up sports fundraising days at schools and provides them with all the equipment and staff. Skip-Fit currently employs a staff of seven.
