Essex gains Serenity
A luxury treatment suite has opened at a 25-year-old Essex leisure centre as part of a £3m refurbishment project.
The project, at Clements Hall Leisure Centre in Hawkwell, was funded by Holmes Place Leisure Management.
The first phase of the refurbishment was the spa development, which cost £250,000.
The spa development includes the five-room Serenity Treatment Suite and a poolside spa area, a spa pool, steamroom and a sauna from Dalesauna.
The suite offers a wide range of face and body treatments from Dermalogica and Elemis, and is run by Emma Cottsgrove, who was previously manager of London’s Langham Hilton health club and spa.
The second phase of the refurbishment is due for completion this summer and will see the addition of a new 5,300sq ft gym, with 100 Technogym stations and a Cardio Theater entertainment system.
The centre will remain open throughout the refurbishment. Details: +44 (0)1702 207777
