The Fitness Industry Association (FIA) has announced the winners of the 2005 Flame Awards at the FitPro Business Gala Dinner in Birmingham.

Club of the Year – which is divided into three categories – went to the Energie Fitness Club in Wembley for the under 1,000 members category; Hearts Health Club for the 1,000-2,500 bracket and Amida in Hampton for the club with over 2,500 members.

Public Sector Centre of the Year was awarded to the Hillsborough Leisure Centre while Livingwell Canary Wharf won Corporate Club of the Year.

The Spirit of Flame award, given to a club or group for excellence in a field outside the normal judging criteria, went to the VVV Health and Leisure Club.

The awards took place at the National Motorcycle Museum in Birmingham as part of Leisure Industry Week (LIW).

Full details of the awards can be found on the FIA website at www.fia.org.uk
