Fareham revamp completed
Fareham Borough Council (FBC) has completed the £300,000 redevelopment of Fareham Leisure Centre.
The works were funded jointly by FBC in partnership with Everyone Active, which operates the centre on behalf of the council.
The revamp included a re-kitting of the fitness suite, doubling the size of the free weights area, a new group exercise studio and a new indoor rotating climbing wall.
New equipment includes Trixter bikes that merge video games with a workout and reaction trainers.
The new group exercise studio will be used to offer more than 90 classes each week.
Ian Cook, contracts manager for Everyone Active, said: "We've worked hard to ensure that the money that has been invested has been spent in areas where we know our customers wanted to see us improve and the finished result is fantastic."
